A Naval Architecture and Ship Building graduate from CUSAT, Pyarilal Kandy began his career in 1994 working in some of India’s largest ship building yards. Four years later, he moved into the Middle East to work in McDermott International and Drydock World Dubai garnering experience in project management, construction, bidding, production, estimation, etc. A specialist in his trade, he is experienced in marine fabrication, barge conversions and upgrades, installation of subsea pipelines, cables, offshore structures and managing projects in the Middle East and Asia.
C S Joe Joe is a CUSAT product with Honors in Naval Architecture and Ship Building. His career began in 1994 with Mazagon Docks Ltd but quit later to take master’s in Offshore Marine Technology from the University of Strathclyde UK. Mr. Joe Joe has been associated with Ms Henderson International LLC in Dubai. He joined McDermott International offshore in the installation engineering department and is well knowledgeable about barge conversions and upgrades, installation engineering of offshore jackets, decks, bridges, risers, subsea pipelines, etc.
Another CUSAT graduate, Mr Subramanian started his career in Mumbai with Bharati Shipyard Ltd. Later he joined Goa Shipyard Ltd and has a career spanning 10 years in Production and Project Management of various vessels built at Goa Shipyard for major clients in India. He moved to Drydocks World-Dubai where he engineered various building and conversion projects. He is experienced in engineering, construction and project management of various types of marine vessels and offshore structures.
Babu is a Mechanical Engineer with industry experience of 35 years to his credit. He started his career with L & T in Mumbai and later on moved to Nico International, Dubai. He has managed complex vessel upgrade projects, ship building projects and ship repair works. For the last 15 years Babu has been an entrepreneur running a string of business entities under the brand name Vision World in the Middle East.
Anupam graduated in Structural Engineering from University of Rajasthan in 2005 and joined the Larsen and Toubro India Limited (L&T) in their Ship design division. There he became part of a team carrying out basic design of various types of oceangoing vessels. After L&T Anupam worked in prominent design engineering firms including a short stint in American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) where he worked as plan review engineer. In 2014, he moved to Great Waters.
Anupam’s expertise lies in basic design of Vessels, CSR classed Bulk carriers, barge conversions and upgrades, transportation studies of ultra-Heavy modules, basic design of jacket and topsides, Finite Element Analysis and installation engineering of offshore jackets and topsides. He did his master’s degree in ‘Advanced Design Engineering’ from BITS Pilani.
Namo Narayana completed his graduation with Honors in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He has more than fifteen (15) years of experience in Offshore and Oil Field Construction Engineering, Design, Installation and Offshore Operations. His career began in 2007 with McDermott International Ltd, Dubai, UAE as Naval Architect, where he gained the experience in Jacket Launch Analysis, Upending Analysis, Engineered lift studies, Dual lift studies, Mooring Analysis, Stability Analysis, Motion Response Studies, Subsea Docking Analysis etc.
Thalia Reyes, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Operations Management from Laguna College in the Philippines, embarked on her professional journey in 2017 by engaging in administrative work in her home country. However, driven by a strong desire to explore new opportunities and expand her career beyond her comfort zone, she decided to venture into Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2019.
Thalia holds a pivotal role in Great Waters, overseeing the daily operations. Her responsibilities encompass managing internal and external partnerships, handling the entire office management, taking charge of HR functions, and undertaking accounting duties such as invoicing, follow-up on receivables and payables, and salary preparation, among others.
Pranil started his career in 2003 immediately after graduating in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has been with Goa Shipyard Ltd. before moving to UAE 2011. His engineering expertise lies in basic and detailed design of electrical engineering. Pranil joined Great Waters team in 2016 and took up an additional responsibility as Business Development Manager. He has a career spanning 17 years in the shipbuilding and jack-up barge industry. Responsible for proposals, bidding and overseeing and maintaining the company’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
